Cheeses and grazing on the slopes of the Malloas
Discover the secrets of making artisan cheese from Navarre and get closer to the world where people and nature have lived in harmony since ancient times.
We invite you to live a unique experience where you will discover the tradition of sheep farming and our customs, in an environment surrounded by fertile valleys, and with views of the Malloas. During the visit to our cheese factory, we will tour our farm, including the spaces where the sheep rest and the milking room. Depending on the season, you can walk our lambs in the meadow or learn to milk them by hand.
In our maturation room, we will explain the process of making cheeses with the Idiazabal Designation of Origin, and blue cheese, highlighting their characteristics and production criteria. In addition, we will reveal the secret of the “Sixth Sense” of cheese and explain why our cheeses are so special.
At the end of the visit, become a judge for a day! Enjoy an organoleptic tasting based on the criteria of professional judges, where you can appreciate the nuances of all the varieties of our cheeses. Accompany this experience with our artisan bread from Lezaeta and a glass of Navarre wine.
